Navel Ring Fashion & Styles

These fun body jewellery pieces are the cutting edge fashion accessory!

Designed to accentuate the midriff and catch the eye. Belly rings range from sophisticated or quirky, always modern and stylish. Below is a guide to the common types of belly rings.

Dangle Belly Rings

The dangle style of belly rings is a great way to add personal style to your look. This style features a piece that hangs and sways freely from the barbell. The dangling piece can be a simple shape, animal, fruit, flower, star or perhaps a birthstone or more elaborate design.

Chandelier Belly Rings

With the chandelier style of belly rings, more than one dangle hangs from the barbell. This style is bolder and features more movement than the regular dangle belly ring. It can be fairly simple or quite ornate, depending upon the design and number of dangles.

Twister or Spiral Style Belly Rings

Twister or spiral style belly rings are twisted shafts where both balls typically unscrew. This style is becomming increasingly fashionable and is currently very popular. They are nifty looking items and are very fun to wear. They are also curved to help put less stress on your piercing.

Captive Belly Rings

This looped-style belly ring “captures” a bead or some other designed object which is hooked onto the ring itself. This style looks similar to an actual hoop earring, and usually includes some added piece which moves along the surface of the ring.

Reverse Style Navel Rings

Also known as the top down style, the reverse belly ring is best described as the main feature of the jewellery falling/sitting at the top of the navel.

Curved barbell

Many people call this an eyebrow ring or even a belly ring. It‘s correct name is a curved barbell. Yes, it can be worn in the eyebrow or navel, BUT, it can be worn in more places such as genital piercings and it looks nothing like a ring.

Bananabell

Also often called a navel ring, belly ring, belly hoop, and many other clever names. It‘s actually called a bananabell. There is absolutely no difference between this and a curved barbell except that one ball on one end is larger than the other.

Bananabells are pretty much designed for the navel. They usually have a 5mm top ball and 8mm bottom ball. This is the main factor that distinguishes them from a simple curved barbell. They also include fancier jewelry with gems etc.
